Graphic / Web Designer

Description

We are seeking an exceptional graphic/web designer to assist with creatively designing and developing various materials for electronic and traditional distribution. These materials include: web sites, web applications, web pages, logos, email messages, graphics, icons, navigational graphics, brochures, presentations and other marketing collateral.

 

This position is a freelance (1099) or a contract-to-hire opening.

 

The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of various Adobe software applications including: Flash, Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign.

 

Additionally, this individual will collaborate with our software architects, UI design and application development team.

 

Requirements

  • Extensive experience with the latest version of Adobe Creative Suite (especially Photoshop, Flash and InDesign)
  • Experience in designing and developing highly efficient and well optimized web sites and other interactive media
  • Solid understanding of image optimization for Web graphics
  • Experience with the latest version of CSS
  • Ability to learn new Internet and authoring technologies relevant for website development.
  • Experience with PDF optimization and publishing
  • Detailed understanding of the latest version of Actionscript
  • Solid understanding of
  • Analyzes information to make appropriate design recommendations and decisions
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Works productively with others in a team environment

 

Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or related
  • Minimum 1-2 years experience
  • Prior exposure to all phases of marketing material development

This position is scheduled to start August, 2010.
